GM Issues Recall on 2017-2019 Chevy EV Bolt
NHTSA - Is aware of two "recent" fires that already received recall service.
GM recently issued a recall to over 50,000 Chevy Bolt EV owners. 2017-2019 Bolts equipped with batteries manufactured by LG Chem in South Korea carry a risk that these high-voltage batteries, located under the rear passenger seats, could catch fire. The Bolt EV has a 60.0-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. GM and the NHTSA have both confirmed five instances of fires related to the battery packs.
As a result, owners are told not to park the cars in garages, near houses, and not to leave them charging overnight until serviced. In the meantime, they have issued an informative/ instructional video detailing the issue and how owners should set the maximum charge on their vehicles to ninety-percent.

Rock and Roll Garage Show Recap
What do you think about artificial intelligence (AI) and the music industry? We listened to a few original tunes and heard from both Pete from Vineland and Bert (WVLT's own). We mentioned a bit of music history, the upcoming Daytona 500, shows (it's confirmed that Vineland's "Cruise Down Memory Lane" is back on June 14th); and, sadly, we announced that the Rock and Roll Garage Show won't be on air for the next six weeks giving "Hot Rod" Mike an opportunity to recover from eye surgery. Days are getting longer, there are just 40 days to Spring at this writing! See you all soon!
